Description of technique:
If your child is being verbally or physically harassed by a bully, tell your child to say nothing and to walk or run away as quickly as possible. If the bully continues to hit, kick or spew out verbal harassments, tell your child to immediately seek out a trusted adult such as the school principal, a favorite teacher or to get home as fast as they can and to talk to you. If the bully is taking your child's belongings such as their book bag, sports equipment, or items of clothing, tell your child not to worry about getting their stuff back. It's usually best to walk away from these unpleasant and potentially dangerous situations.
