Glittery Star or a Glow in the Dark Star

What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Estimated time required to make this costume:
Not very long; it's simple!

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
Cardboard

Glitter

Paint
OR Glow N the Dark paint

Tights, any color that matches the color you paint your cardboard star

String


Instructions:
1. Cut out cardboard into a star shape that best fits the person wearing the costume.
2. Cut out 2 shapes for the front and back.
3. Punch holes on the top of the star on both cardboard shapes and tie string to both of them so you can drape the two stars over the head.
4. Paint it (preferably glow N the dark), then sprinkle lots of glitter.

Other information to consider:
This outfit is really cute for kids especially if you want everyone to know your kid is a STAR!

IF YOU WANT you can make a smaller paper star to put on top of a stick to make a star wand :o)
