1. Clear plastic garbage bag
2. Bag Of Multi-Color Balloons
3. Wrapping Ribbon or Bowtie
Also Use Either A:
1. sweatsuit
2. stretch pants and turtleneck
3. colored tights, shorts, and turtleneck
Instructions:
Hold the plastic bag up to your child to measure where the arm and leg holes should be. Cut two leg holes and two arm holes out of the bottom and sides of the bag. Blow up the balloons the day of the Halloween event, to prevent deflation. When inflating the balloons, remember not to inflate them to their full size. Your child should put on their tights, sweatsuit, turtleneck, or pants before putting on the bag...then slip the bag on. Start putting the colored balloons in, and finish by pulling the top of the bag around the neck, and sealing it with ribbon, tied securely, but loosely around the neck to hold the bag up. If ribbon isn't available, use a colored bowtie. When I wore this costume, I wore a clown wig just to add more color, but its not a must. A cute addition is to write in permanent marker on the front of the bag "Jellybeans 15 cents". I won a few awards for this costume! Give it a try!
Other information to consider:
*A turtleneck is preferred underneath of the bag to prevent the itching from the top of the plastic around the neck.
