3 Star Costume Rating

What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School

Estimated time required to make this costume:
30 - 45 minutes

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
White Standard Pillowcase
Small White Pleated Lampshade
T-Shirt Transfer Paper or Fabric Paints
Remnant Fabric
Small Elastic
Hot Glue

Instructions:
Slit the seam on the pillowcase for your child's head to fit through. Also, slit openings on each side of the pillowcase for his/her arms. If you have a scanner, scan the logo from a tube of toothpaste in and reverse to print on the T-shirt transfer paper. Follow the instructions for applying the transfer to the fabric. If a scanner is not available, use fabric paint to paint the logo on the pillowcase. I also made a small pillow insert for the lampshade and hot glued it in and attached some small elastic for a chin strap.

Other information to consider:
My son wore a white turtleneck underneath. Depending on the height of your child, you may need to cut the bottom to an appropriate length to keep your child from tripping on the costume.
