4 Star Gift Idea Rating

Describe the best gift you ever received or gave:
It was a small wooden "airplane" made out of scraps of wood I found in my dad's basement workroom. I decorated the airplane with magic markers and by gluing odds and ends that I found in the workroom onto it.

What made this gift extra-special?
It was handmade and came from the heart. I was about six years old and, not having money or any way to get to a store, it was the most I could possibly do. I put a lot of effort into it and I think it was apparent. It was an "extra-special" gift because it came from the heart and I had obviously tried very hard to please him. HE STILL HAS IT IN HIS BEDSIDE DRAWER!

Other comments or suggestions:
Sometimes a homemade gift is a lot more memorable and meaningful than anything you could ever buy in a store. A gift from the heart means an awful lot to your dad.
