Describe this trip activity or tip:
Players take turns finding an object that begins with a letter of the alphabet, beginning with "A" and going throught the alphabet. For example, the first player finds something beginning with the letter "A", the second player has "B", and so forth. "Difficult" letters (like "Q", "X" and "Z") can be found in words on signs. You can adjust the rules depending on how challenging you want to make the game (to make it easier, you can agree that you can find an object OR a letter). Or you can make it more competitive by having the first person who can, find the object with the given letter. You can also agree to include or exclude the interior of the vehicle.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
Preschoolers who know their beginning sounds can also play. This has been a favorite in our family for years, and it helped our younger one learn his letter sounds, too!
