4 Star Gift Idea Rating

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School

Estimated time to make this gift:
Approximately one hour.

Materials:
6 Popsicle sticks
Glue or glue gun
Paint, crayons or markers
A photograph

Instructions:
1. Glue the Popsicle sticks into position to make two separate triangles.
2. Lay one triangle on top of the other upside down to form the star of David.
3. Glue both triangles together.
4. Use paint, crayons or markers to decorate the popsicle sticks. You can even add little stickers or glitter if you want.(Hint: Glitter sticks make less of a mess, stamp pens are fun too!)
5. Measure and trim your photo to fit inside the bottom triangle and glue into place.
6. To hang, tie a piece of yarn or ribbon to the top of the triangle.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
This project is a great gift for family members particularly if they live far away. Let each one of your children make one or try making one that can accommodate the family portrait. Don't forget the dog and cat photos, too.
