Halloween Movies for Kids
Monsters, Inc. [G]
Blue-furred Sulley and his one-eyed assistant Mike are employed at Monsters, Inc., a scream processing factory. It's their job to scare human children because their screams help their monster world thrive.
But what happens when a child isn't afraid— and follows the monsters back to their world? They become exiles of her universe, and find some other mythical creatures that are fellow refuges as well.
Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit [G]

The Goonies [PG]
The group is headed for certain demise, until they are befriended by Fratelli's horribly deformed, but kind-hearted son, who helps them escape her evil agenda.
Hocus Pocus [PG]
Christina Ricci stars in this oldie-but-goodie about a young girl named Kat who befriends a very friendly ghost.
The story begins with an irritable woman, Ms. Carrigan, who inherits an old, rickety house in New England from her deceased father. She is furious when she finds out the house is haunted by the (not-so-scary) Casper, and employs a "professional ghost exterminator" (played by Dan Ackroyd) to get rid of him. When that doesn't work, she hired a "ghost psychiatrist", who arrives at the house with his daughter, Kat.
Kat and Casper become fast friends as they work to save the home that houses not only Casper, but his three ghost uncles, from the mean Ms. Carrigan.
It's a heart-warming story about friendship that will have both kids and parents cheering for the good guys all the way to the end.
The Witches [PG]
Corpse Bride [PG]
While wandering the woods practicing his vows, he places Victoria's wedding ring on what he thinks is a tree branch. As it turns out, the "branch" is really the skeletal finger of the enchanted Corpse Bride. She whisks him off to a mysterious, and scary, underworld where Victor and the Corpse Bride are married.
Can Victor find his way back to the real world, and to his real-life fiance, who he realizes he has fallen in love with?
Kids will love the animation in this film, and parents can't help but marvel at the wonders only a Tim Burton film can bring to life.
The Nightmare Before Christmas [PG]
The Haunted Mansion [PG]
Munster, Go Home! [Not Rated]
Halloweentown [Not Rated]
Harry Potter Series [PG and PG-13]
