Tissue Paper Eggs

by Trish Kuffner, author of The Toddler's Busy Book

An acrylic coating will turn your toddler's tissue-paper Easter egg into a shiny work of art.

  • Colored tissue paper
  • White craft glue
  • Hard-boiled eggs
  • Clear acrylic spray (optional)
  1. Tear colored tissue paper into small pieces.
  2. Dilute white craft glue with a few drops of water.
  3. Have your child spread glue on the hard-boiled egg with his fingers.
  4. After he has washed his hands, show him how to gently press pieces of tissue paper onto the egg.
  5. Cover with a light coating of glue or spray with clear acrylic spray.
