Squeeze Painting

by Trish Kuffner, author of The Toddler's Busy Book

Follow this recipe for homemade paint, and let your toddler use it in a squeeze bottle.

Materials

  • Flour
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Food coloring or liquid tempera paint (optional)
  • Squeeze bottles or small spoons
  • Paper

Directions

  1. Mix equal parts of flour, salt, and water.
  2. If working on colored paper, leave the paint white; if using white paper, add a few drops of food coloring or liquid tempera to the paint.
  3. Pour the paint into squeeze bottles or use a small spoon to dribble the paint onto the paper.
  4. Let dry, and admire the sparkly results.
