Stepdaughter - FamilyEducation

I have 2 stepdaughters, one is already moved out of the house she is 18 and the youngest is 16 and still living with us.

Im tired of her rude behavior, she is only nice when she needs something and then she gets it, she is rude with me again.
she obviously knows how to get anything she wants from her dad, so she behaves good with him but then she is rude with me at the same time, so its very hard for him to support me because she knows how to control him and how to keep him happy.. example, all morning I am here for her in case she needs anything take her or pick her up from school, but then when she comes home she hardly acknowledge me or say hi;if ask her something he hardly answers, but then the minute later my husband ask me to take to a volleyball game the next day??
I struggle saying not, but I cant keep saying say yes to everything he asks just to please him, I feel like she doesn't deserve me being nice to her, I feel like we reward her for her rude behavior.

Unfortunately their mum passed away when they were kids so they are used to everybody feeling sorry for them and spoiling them.

Also just to bother us, my husband ex-girlfriend is always around for when they misbehave.

please help!

i dont really see the purpose of the ex girlfriend there for when they mis behave because they are your kids now. i think you should punish them as if they were yuhr own natural kids when they are disobeying and being rude to you.

Have a calm discussion with your husband about your feelings and expectations for your family. The fact that your stepdaughter has been through a lot is no excuse for her rude behavior. Once you and your husband are on the same page, your family expectations need to be presented to your stepdaughter in a calm and respecful manner.
