Teens Sharing Rooms

We live in a small house and my 3 teenage kids (2 girls aged 14 and 16 & a boy aged 18) share a room since our house is so small. I feel bad about this but my kids are ok about it. But I dont feel good about it and am wondering if i should try to get the money to renovate or whether I should spend the money i do have on other things if it isnt such a "big deal"? I was wondering if wat I am doing could be a lack of privacy for them?

Jess, I would suggest you try to get the boy out of the girls room. I don't know how much longer he will be in your home, if he is 18, but they should all have privacy. I had similar problem with one 17 yo boy and 15 yo girl...I placed a divider in the room to seperate the space ... there were still problems with privacy. Good luck!

We also live in a small house. I have 2 boys, fortunately, in one room in bunk beds. We don't have the opposite sex issue, but still we know our situation will only last so long. Maybe instead of spending a lot of $ to renovate your house right now, buy a sofa that pulls out into a bed. If you can, clear out a hall closet or buy a wardrobe closet for extra storage space. Especially w/ a girl, you're going to need that extra storage area. I hope this helps.
