More than difficult Potty Training

I'm trying to potty train my son (who is my first child) he will be 2 March 15th. I've been doing everything I can possibly think of for the past 3 months and nothing has worked. He still thinks that when he sits on the potty that he is in trouble. I was hoping to have him out of diapers by his birthday. Taking Any and All suggestions!!

Most boys do not potty train until age 3. Before that, they do not have the control necessary to be successful. Wait a year.

Unless you use cloth diapers. If he wakes up dry in cloth diapers, he is ready to train. How come he thinks that sitting on the potty means he is in trouble?

Please don't force him to potty train when he is not ready. Wait a few months. 2 is still young for potty training, especially a boy.I work with children up to the age of two. NONE of them are potty trained when they move on at the age of two to the next stage.

It is important to remember that you do not want to push a child to potty train if he's not ready. 2 years old is still early! It should always be a positive experience, you don't want to stress him out. Try relating positive experiences with toileting (i.e.verbal praise). But it's important to let him toilet on his own time and to be supportive!
