My mother...

Is usually stressed out over work, school, and our financial situation, and it's bringing both me and her to our ropes, and it usually makes us break into a fight.

I gave her some advice on her finances ((since they cover everyone in the house, so I feel I have some say in it, right?)), and after five minutes of that she blows up in my face.

We talked about it the next morning, and the same reaction happened only this time I got really pissed and shredded a door with a wrench ((the door was going to be replaced anyway and hand no use. Better then bashing a living being's skull in with a wrench, right?)).

So I guess the only thing I can do is apply for SSI, SSD, or Disability, and give her a little more money extra per month. I pay her $60 a month for rent and an added feature on my phone.

Though, she wastes her money on stuff like a new car, bose radios, sirius radio, and a flat screen lcd tv. Those are things i can do without.

First off TV isn't a necessity, but it lowers our entertainment bill somehow, so all we really need is a basic tv that doesn't cost us so much.

Sirius Radio isn't needed either. Pandora and Live365 are both good online radios. And they are FREE!

Bose Radios are nice, but I'm fine with an iPod, iHome, and again Live365 and Pandora.

The Car is my main concern though... 14k is what that car cost. a 2008 Nissan Sentra. Got it in November of '08, crashed it in November of '09. Now I don't have a license yet, but I will never drive a car... that's another story though.

Plus she's a smoker, which costs us hundreds per month... and she has me go out and get them! I swear I never was going to buy anything to hurt someone with. Not even their money. If they want it, they can get up off their ass and go get it... but she always finds a way to make me...

*sighs* How can I make her spend less? Quit Smoking? Stop blowing up in my face?

Move out, get a job, and support yourself while you still know everything.

And figure out just what you are afraid of.

How old are you? If you are over 18 I think it sounds like you should move out. My parents were/are very irresponsible with money, so I can relate... but what your mother does with her money isn't any of your business, and you don't have any say in it.
