define the fine line: between friendlyness and flirting ?

When does a woman feel that another woman friend is flirting,  or crossing the line towards her husband/hubby ?
Where do you draw the line between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour, gracefully without being paranoid or jealous ?

I responded to your other post as well regarding your SIL. I don't consider myself a jealous person, but in your situation, if I witnessed my SIL putting her hands through my husband's hair or stroking his hand and looking at me w/ that "smile" as you described, I'd be bothered by it too. What I don't understand is that your husband let it get that far before he pushed your SIL away, and more amazingly, her husband did nothing! Was your BIL in the same room when she did this? I agree that some people are touchy feely w/ others and that it's their way of showing affection (innocently). However, add that little "smile" to the equation, and you know the intention isn't a sincere one. That's how I see it.
