Christmas and the holidays

Hey All

Is everyone all ready for Christmas and the holidays?

Have you done all your shopping, wrapping, goodie making?

Are you having family come in for the holidays? Is your house all clean and put together.

My MIL and FIL arrive tomorrow and I had surgery a couple of weeks ago so I am not allowed to do any cleaning at all. My husband is having to clean the whole house himself (that has never happened in the last 20 years, I feel sorry for him)

I have had all my shopping done for awhile and just wrapped the last of my presents tonight. I have a couple of things that should arrive soon to wrap but mostly completely done!

Tell us what is going on with your family and all your plans.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year with many blessings. May 2010 be much better for everyone than 2009.

My husband just got back to work pt time after being out of work for 3 months. We have a tree my daughter purchased and decorated very beautifully, and visited my grandson and my husband's sister and niece on Christmas day. This holiday was definately not about gifts this year, there were none! We celebrated and gave of our time, I took care of the baby and my husband ran errands and helped clean to help out my son and d-i-l. My husband did some much needed home repairs for his sister. We told my husband's boys we will have gifts for them when we can afford to do so and they completely understood. So, it was and is a happy holiday!

I am glad you had a nice holiday. I think that most everyone at least had to cut back this year. In our family there was more giving of family items that we already owned and those are the best gifts anyway!! We had a wonderful Christmas with family. My husband's mother is very sick with cancer and we don't know how long we will have her with us so this year was totally about the love of family which is a big part of what Christmas should be about anyway. I hope everyone had a nice holiday! Marti
