I'm an old, weathered sports columnist, and am launching an experiment that I'd like to toss out for review.
What I want to do is develop a new sports feature based on father-daughter sports experiences--everything from the Layne Beachley's and Misty May-Treanor's of the world right down to our own kids.
I built a website: www.daddydaughtertime.org
Eventually, I hope to compile the How-To's of 36 sports into a book that we somehow give to every man who has a daughter. It'll spell out the facts and the critical need for him to be in her life and involved in the same way he'd be with a son.
If anyone, moms or daughters, has stories, memories, advice or anything, please take a look at the site and hit the pink banner on top...tell us your story. It can be anything (as you'll see from current entries), a bike ride, surfing, climbing, soccer etc....
Thanks very much
