Anyone else recently find out they're expecting? I am going on 6 weeks and waiting impatiently for my first prenatal appointment November 5th.

HI!! Im due June 10th. I had my first prenatal appt last monday at 5 weeks. Stinks you have to wait so long, I would be too anxious.

Congrats, Kathy! Is this your first? I believe my due date will be June 2. I am anxious to wait but it is giving me plenty of time to get to know my changing body and symptoms and think up lots of questions to ask my midwife. How are you feeling so far?

Hi ladies congrats on your pregnancies. I am also due in June my due date is 17th. This is my fifth pregnancy and my second as high risk due to complications in my third. I've awful nausea already and sore boobs but apart from that I'm feeling good. My first midwife appointment is on the 31st. Hope you are all doing well.

Hi Leeann. Congrats! Wow 5th pregnancy! Go you! I feel pretty good as well. Sore breasts for sure. So much so I wake up pretty much every time Imove while I sleep and I have been experiencing nausea but no puking (Thank goodness). Have you gone with a midwife with your other births? I already receive my yearly well woman care from a midwife/birth center and love it. We go for a tour of the birth center on the 29th. Have you ever done a birth center birth?

Hi ladies! I'm in the same boat -- due June 9th. Anyone else have serious morning sickness with any of their babies? I'm on Zofran right now to help keep things down (without it I'm nonstop puking) but am anxious to go off meds. I've heard it lightens up around 10 weeks for most women. I'm at 7w3d right now and literally counting down the days! I'm so happy to be pregnant but I can't wait to actually enjoy it :)

I actually have no symptoms but exhaustian and i am 7w2d. I hope your sickness goes away soon. and congrats

Hi I'm in the UK and our care is midwife laid and baby will born in the hospital and delivered by midwives unless there are any complications and a doctor is required like with my last baby I had a forceps delivery so that was done by Doctor.

Hi everyone! Congrats to the max on all of your little miracles:) I am at 5 weeks right now and my due date is June 27th. My concern is that I've had two previous miscarriages at 6 weeks and my doctor said I wasn't producing enough progesterone. I took a test last week and then called her when I received a positive result, but she said that other than folic acid, not to take any medications until I see a heartbeat. This confused me since last time she asked me to start medication as soon as I got a positive result. I'm afraid that I might miscarry again before the heartbeat shows up. My appt. is on he 5th, so hopefully everything will be ok until then. Many prayers for all of you. Take good care:)

Hi Samina! Congratulations to you! I am 8 weeks 2 days today and like you have concerns b/c I had 2 previous miscarriages. At 5 weeks, I noticed discharge and immediately went to the ER. The ultrasound could'nt detect a heartbeat yet and needless to say, increased my worries. The ER nurse said to me that she too had a miscarriage and knew how I felt, but whether I miscarry or go full term, I have no control on which way it will go, so, the best thing to do is to think and feel positive. She was right. I couldn't stop those miscarriages no matter what I would've tried. So, that day in the ER, I decided not worry if I will have another miscarriage, because I know worrying will only take away from the joys of knowing I have a blessing growing inside of me. My ultrasound is tomorrow and I look forward to hearing my little one's heartbeat. Think positive thoughts and laugh! I wish you success as we go on this journey to mommyhood!

I love that attitude babyelb -- but, as you know, it's really difficult not to worry! This is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure what to expect. I've been to the doctor twice already for bleeding (dark brown spotting mostly) but the baby has been fine both times. Last night I had much heavier, bright red bleeding but no cramping. I am a ball of nerves. I didn't go to the ER because I felt it would be pretty pointless but I plan on calling the doc again in the morning. I hate to be "the girl who cried wolf" but bright red blood can't be good! I am 8wks 6days now. Has anyone had a similar experience, with good or bad outcomes?

30195

Hey ladies. I am excusing myself from the group but it was good to hear from you all and good luck.. Unfortunately, my pregnancy just ended in miscarriage this past Tuesday, however we will try again in 2 weeks per doctor. I wish you all the best of luck w your pregnancies!

Mgnspins, I know saying not to worry is easier said than done, but I had to make a decision as a mother to replace worry with faith for the sake of the health of the baby. I hope that you and the baby will be fine and every thing turns out. Stay positive! Please keep us posted.

I'm very sorry to hear this Kathy. I wish you the best and much success with your future pregnancies!
cid
30198

Hi Samina if your progesterone level is low your doc should be giving you progesterone of some type to help maintain the pregnancy. Kathy I'm so sorry to hear of your loss be gentle with yourself and good luck with your future pregnancy. Please let us know how you get on.
cid

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. May you be blessed again soon. Babyelb, you are 100% correct, I just have to think and stay positive. I felt like I was going out of my mind. Due to my previous miscarriages, I was researching at least 5 or 6 hours a day, sometimes the same things over & over again, going through everything with a fine toothed comb, trying not to miss any information. And then a friend helped me realize, I just have to leave it in God's hands, and know in my heart of hearts, that whatever will be, is what He has planned for me. Leeann38, my doctor's appt. is tomorrow, and I will discuss my progesterone levels with her. It's so confusing when two top doctors' methods for healing are so different. Many prayers for you all.
cid
30200

Yes Samina I definitely would discuss it with doc. Did they even check your level when you told them you were pregnant again? It's only natural to worry about another mc and Dr google can be bad at a time like this. I've never had a first trimester loss but I lost a little girl at almost 29wks in the nicu so I do understand your anxiety and all I can say is if you'd feel more comfortable with the progesterone then fight for it.
cid
30201

No, the doctor didn't get my progesterone levels checked. I went to see her two days ago and she said to wait for a heartbeat before I take any medicine. I'm not sure whether to just wait until next Wednesday for an ultrasound, or to get a second opinion. Am very confused.

Wrightbaby, how did your prenatal appointment go last week? Samina, I'm interested to hear what the doctor says at your appointment this week. I am an IVF patient, so I've been on progesterone from day one and am going off of it on Wednesday (10w2d). They haven't checked my levels since the first two weeks, I think it's just protocol for patients to stay on until the placenta kicks in (which I've read can start happening anywhere between 8-12 weeks). It seems like you're almost to that point anyway -- so hopefully you'll see a healthy baby and bypass the need for supplements altogether! My nurses seem to think that the supplements are part of the reason I've had such terrible early pregnancy symptoms, including the hyperemesis, so I'm not sad to see them go : )

Hi guys! So, I just got back from having my ultrasound and...WE HAVE A HEARTBEAT! Yeahhhhhhhhh:) And the doctor asked me to get on Ascard, which is a blood thinner, once a heartbeat is found. My next doctor's appt. is on the 19th..so, lets see about the progesterone. She has me on glucophage, to control my sugar levels, and I've noticed that when I take the medicine, pregnancy symptoms increase. So, maybe that is supplying something, or keeping my hormones balanced. Congrats to the max becksbaby2014:) and may all of u have happy healthy pregnancies.

Hi, ladies !!! I am 9 weeks and 3 days and so excited but anxious too as this will be my first baby. I am due on June the 2th and went and had a scan of my baby yd which is starting to make it feel more real now as seen it's little heart beat so can't wait for my 12 week scan now. I've had really bad nausea through out this pregnancy, sore breast, feeling tired all the time and sore heads. So let's hope the second trimester is a lot easier :-)
