1year old spoiled

I have a 1yr old daughter that I have to say is spoiled and I know that is a no-no, but I did it anyway. Now I can't do anything without her wanting me to hold her. What should I do?

I appreciate all the feedback, it is much needed.

My pediatrician once told me that you can't spoil a baby with love. I have three young children (5 yr old b/g twins and a 3 1/2 year old b)and they are all very different in personality but all liked to be held as babies. As they became more mobile and independent, they also wanted to be held less. It seems to be a natural progression. Now if you need some space / time for yourself regardless of how small / little (i.e. loading the dishwasher with both hands), you may want to start off with short moments of setting baby securely on floor, in bouncer, in playpen ... wherever she can see you ... with a favorite toy or while continuing to interact with her positively (singing a fun song, playing peekaboo with the dishes, etc.). Slowly increase the time until she is comfortable being outside of your arms, while building her trust that you are not leaving her. Keep in mind that kids run from our embrace before we know it, so this is a special time for both of you. However, you have to be able to take care of yourself to stay sane through all the googoo and gaga too. Good luck!

Thanks for your advice, that was certainly helpful. I will take what you have given me and utilize it. Appreciate the response.
