Allison McDonald is a former preschool teacher who now spends her days learning with her 3-year-old son and baby daughter. She lives in the Seattle area with her husband and two children.

This is a simple cute craft that is packed with fine motor skill practice too.

You will need a cereal box, a hole pinch, ribbon, tape , scissors and crayons.

Start by cutting out two matching egg shapes from the box.

Punch holes . If your child is punching the holes have them to one egg first then you use theirs as a stencil for the other. You need the holes to match up.

Add tape to one end of your ribbon to make it easier to lace.

Thread your ribbon through, tie a large knot at the end.

Lace through.

At the end lace under the back to the top and tie .
