Texas Celebrates Public School Week
To kick-off Texas Public School Week, Texas state education leaders came together with FamilyEducation Network, a free interactive school-home communications service, for a special event entitled "Texas Parents & Schools Online." This event, highlighted parent involvement through the Internet, and took place on Monday, March 1, at 9:30 a.m. at the Texas PTA office in Austin.
Among the state associations supporting "Texas Parents & Schools Online" were the Association of Texas Professional Educators, Communities in Schools of Texas, Just for the Kids, Texas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Texas Association of Community Schools, Texas Association of School Administrators, Texas Association of School Boards, Texas Classroom Teachers Association, Texas PTA, Texas Federation of Teachers, Texas School Public Relations Association, and Texas State Teachers Association.
