Email has been called the "killer app" of the Internet age. It makes staying in touch with friends, family and business associates quick and easy, regardless of where they are located geographically.

Instead of having to write your message on a piece of paper and then trek off to your local post office, you can quickly type it on your computer and with one click of the Send button, it's on its way to your recipient.

In order to use email, you'll need to either have an email program installed on your computer or have an account with a Web based email service such as Hotmail.
